Our Four-Day Workweek Experiment

Our Four-Day Workweek Experiment

I started paying attention to the discussion around the concept of a four-day workweek years ago. Over time, I observed as it began gaining international traction, with studies about work-life balance and productivity from Iceland, the United Kingdom, and others that suggested profound benefits. Despite this, many business leaders continued to view it with more skepticism than curiosity. Cutting 20% of a company’s operating hours without losing 20% of output felt like a mathematical impossibility.

At Awesome, we are not only an Evergreen, People First company but we also think of ourselves as fearless innovators. Our decision to launch an experiment, therefore, a little over a year ago, and move our company to a 32-hour week was carefully considered, driven by a combination of personal conviction and a desire to challenge the traditional status quo.
