UPCOMING EVENTS FOR MEMBERS

Virtual Tugboat Institute Summit 2020

Join us from home for Tugboat Institute Summit, an intimate, invitation-only gathering of Evergreen CEOs. This unique event brings together leading entrepreneurs who have the grit and resourcefulness to build and scale private, profitable, enduring and market-leading businesses that make a dent in the universe.

Tugboat Institute @5HQ

In October 2020, we will travel to five different member locations for our Fall Exemplar Visit. The five member-companies generously hosting us this October are: ABC Home & Commercial Services in Austin, Texas; American Metals Supply Co. in St. Louis, Missouri; Clase Azul in Brooklyn, New York; Power Engineers in Boise, Idaho; and, Torch Technologies in Huntsville, Alabama. They will welcome us into their headquarters and share the stories of their inspiring Evergreen businesses and their hard-earned wisdom across a variety of practices. Each one-day event will feature both in-person and virtual experiences to accommodate as many member-participants as possible during this challenging time and will include an evening celebration for our in-person attendees to feature the flair of the local area.

Tugboat Institute @EdwardJones

In October 2021, we will travel to St. Louis for our Tugboat Institute Exemplar Visit at Edward Jones headquarters. Hosted by the sixth managing partner in the 97-year history of Edward Jones and Tugboat Institute member Penny Pennington, this event will share insights on leading an enduring, growing Evergreen business that is owned by its partners. Over the course of two days, we will take an unvarnished look at the history of Edward Jones. We'll learn about how it evolved from a small band of financial advisors serving rural clients into a firm of over 55,000 employees, its unique relationship with Peter Drucker, how its approach to People First makes it one of the Top 10 Best Places to Work year-after-year, and gain deep insights into the key milestones, successes, and failures it experienced in its Evergreen journey. We will also enjoy exceptional food and drink together while exploring a few of Penny’s favorite areas around St. Louis each evening

Evergreen Companies are the most important companies in our society today, and are redefining success.
